The balancing weights on the DS are intact (4 of them in total from new), so I think it should be ok. Don't see any other glue residue as far as I know.

And no, I do not have access to jack stands other than visiting the shop which I frequent for most of my mods installation. They do a pretty good job and aren't expensive, just a hassle for the time required. I have rotated it twice now, but it's not looking great at the moment. Another friend of mine (also from Malaysia) who bought the exact DS has just sent his back to DSS since it was vibrating too bad and a part has come loose.

Unfortunately, the heavy traffic in my country (or city to be precise) doesn't allow for highway travel speeds during working hours, even on highways. The only way I can test out the DS safely is after work hours (when most shops will be closed). Also, I work till late pretty much everyday which makes things difficult as well. I would definitely love to have the whole day off just to test out all my mods after installation but life doesn't go like this for most of us.

Alright, just did my 3rd and final rotation on the drive shaft today. That means I have tried every possible rotation for the driveshaft - and unfortunately it still vibrates quite noticeably. It's not as apparent as the last rotation but it is certainly bad enough for me to be unable to see anything through the rear view mirror. I believe that I have received a defective unit it seems. I'll be swapping out to the stock one very shortly.

I'll be contacting DSS tonight and see how I could sort this out. Thanks for everyone's feedback.

Could there be drivetrain differences between LHD vs RHD that is causing the vibrations? Maybe the driveshaft was designed for LHD. I don't think there are. I'm just trying to rule out the possibilities.

Zero difference in that respect.

Did you read what i said, or just saw me posting like a stupid **** unaware of how things work in his country and decided to post that way too?

No sir, just that the common practice of 90, 90, 90. Had been neglected.

Which he then went on to explain why i was a **** and made me feel shitty.

Hi Model, I am not trying to point out that you are being rude or something like that. I have initially rotated the shaft 180 degrees as that was recommended by Driveshaftshop themselves (contrary to the 90,90,90 general guide). Who am I to argue with the manufacturers themselves? After that, I went forward to rotate 90 degrees and 180 degrees thereafter (I have been watching the entire time while it's being rotated) to make sure that all 4 positions have been tried out. That was also recommended by DSS. After the installation each time, I have also went to try them out at highway speeds so I came to a conclusion that this driveshaft is most likely defective from the box. I took a couple of days to do all of that as I have been very busy with work and am not able to get that done within hours. Still, that shouldn't have changed anything at the end of the day. Hope that clarifies everything.

Just an update. I've exchanged a few emails with DSS and they have agreed to provide a refund for the Drive Shaft. I shall be mailing the carbon ds out to them on Monday and will update you guys on how it goes later on. I've had the stock drive shaft back on this morning and the vibration is completely gone now. Unfortunately, the car is noticeably less peppy - felt like I loss some response and power. Will be looking at a PST 2-piece carbon drive shaft once I sort out the return with DSS. Thanks everyone for the kind advice and guidance!

PST does not have a 2 piece DS for our car however. Unless this is a custom one off you're having made?

Oh my goodness! You're right - I thought it was a 2-piece but it is in fact a 1-piece. Let's hope this one works well. Thanks for the heads up!

Good luck with replacement. Sounds like you got a turd, somehow my dss shaft worked on the first spot and has been good @100mph +

I was a dink and was unaware of your traffic situations, sorry.
