Depending on that is what your end whp goal is going to be.
I have a full FAQ on everything Vortech if you need some other info too.

Yes, I'm lucky to have an e85 pump halfway between work and home, I've been running e85 while NA, and plan to continue with the Vortech setup, and thank you for the FAQ, it's been very helpful

Check out this thread.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...hlight=vortech

These were custom headers built for this car in the style I mentioned above. This specific header you cant get since there was only one made nor would I recommend buying anything from the FA20Crap brand. But Im sure you could get a custom set made or at least something really close.
I'm running the infamous Agency Power headers currently on my NA setup, thank you for the heads up on the Vortech specific headers, another upgrade to consider!

1. that was not a custom header. That was FA20club equal length header.

2. I don't believe that dyno for 1 ms. He is a fraud and wanted to sell his header. Drift Office (a reputable shop/tuner) has shown that current offerings of headers on supercharged cars don't make much of a difference.

3. someone should make some SC optimized headers

2.87" on e85 = 382whp for my car on the v3 blower.. and potentially 400+ with the right tune.

With 2.62" the limits haven't been explored much. 450+?? who knows. Building the engine would make a lot of sense.

You have a good clutch and cooling mods? Also the widest stickiest tires that fit because the wheelspin is pretty silly.
Yes, clutch upgrade, vented hood and Koyo racing radiator currently in my "shopping cart", as well as 18 X 9 wheels.

I don't actually have the v2 blower yet, as I recently purchased a used v3 Vortech kit from another member, which turned out to be the original Vortech unit for the frs, which was specd at 6 psi, instead of the upgraded impeller specd at 9 psi

So another question that I have: If my target is 300 whp to 350 whp, which of the three paths do I take?

1) Spend $250 to upgrade to the new impeller

2) Spend $1200, and go V2 upgrade

3) Keep the current impeller that I have (rated for 6 psi) Is it capable of flowing 300 rwhp on e85 with the 550 injectors and 270 L/ hr fuel pump?

I am looking to build a reliable setup that can be tracked. Not competitive racing, just more like high performance driving schools or club track days.

Hi,

Disclosure: I'm not a vendor, no money in any company or public shop, but do have my own machine shop and some mechanical inclination. Love to think and modify things that have room to improve. "No parts or work for the out side word"

Definitely you will need the V3 at least.

For the V2 option I'm trying to get vortech to sell it to me and I will do the install, already modify my SC to be oil feed, but as I was telling you I prefer the original oil (monolec) to be the only player on the SC, as it will spin fast 45-55k.
There is no secret on my set up, but not public. If you have some mechanical skill (at least moderate) and patient I could describe how I do it (but the part search and buy is up to you). I warranty to you it will last more than your car, if no over spinning is done.

Yesterday I went racing with a evo, last about 35 min and the SC temp was 195f, engine oil temp 214f, coolant 200f, constant...

If you really want a reliable setup, temp is one of the key components, but a good tune goes first.

Hope this help.

The owner of that car is a friend of mine lol. He told me they were one off headers tony built for him. They never made it to market. I second that he was a fraud but that dyno was real. I actually own the kit used in that thread now (minus the header )

Im about to get in touch with revworks and see what they can do since there sorta local to me.

Definitely helps, please post the parts list necessary to upgrade to a 13 psi setup

If you cant get vortech to sell you the parts there are three online store that specialize in supercharger parts. Im sure you could source what ever is needed to make the upgrade from one of those sellers. The links are in the Vortech FAQ thread. I think one of them actually sells a v3->v2 upgrade kit.

****Im not associated in any way with those sellers or trying to promote their product. There just the only sites I could find that sold replacement vortech parts.
