Question Need help from the wheel fitment gurus

So I'm looking to purchase a set of xxr 527s in 17x9.75 +20 offset and stretch my stock prius tires over them. Do you guys think ill run into trouble with the fitment/clearance issues? Thanks for the insight!

That much stretch sounds like a hazard to yourself and others on the road

lol I know a few people that have been running 215/40s for a really long time on the same size and have had no issues. I'd be running a 215/45 though. I'm just not sure if these will fit on the frs haven't really seen anyone run that aggressive of an offset with a 9.75inch wheel in the wheel directory maybe its too wide??

I have the stock tires on 17x9's and you could easily stretch those tires on a wheel 3/4" wider. No prob.

That width/offset is going to poke like crazy on the front.

what would you say I should run in the fronts? 17x8.25?
do you think the 9.75 rears are gonna have ridiculous poke? I'm looking for a good stance with poke but not like those cars you see with wheels that look awkward because they're clearly too aggressive for the car if you know what I mean

8.25 +25 would stick out 4mm more than mine and wouldn't stretch your tire nearly as bad, that would be my recommendation.

rear would require more work than the front.
i run 18x9.5 +25 225/40 all around.. with the rear you have the issue of the bumper mounting point... and in the front you have the bumper/corner light too worry about.
i rub on both. ( less so in the front... usually only on full lock under compression )
fronts can probably fit 5-10mm wider depending on how much negative camber you would like to run..

Not my car. This is the kind of issue you will deal with with +20 offset wheels

Nah, clearance should be fine with the prius rubber bands on em, but it's gonna look silly with all that stretch and the wheel gap of 17's.

How much tire are you tucking right now, Nab? It might look kinda funny when you throw those on if you don't go lower.

I was think of the same size as you but i realised it would look silly as hell.

I went for XXR 527 in 17x8,25 and ET35 which seems to be spot on
And i would also be able to you the OEM tires without insane streching.

And this is why sidewalls fail on extremely stretched tires, kids.

It is a little unnerving to have people doing this and driving on public roads.

Also, to the people saying it will be "fine" or "no problem", I would put disclaimers on your posts, just in case!

lol woah that dudes fenders are screwed
I was hoping for a fitment like this:

this guy has the same setup with almost the same size tires accept 215/40 but obviously since he has a wrx so he can fit them. I guess Ill have to look into some smaller sizes then! Do you guys know if I can achieve this with 8.25 +25 wheels all around? Or I'm contemplating on doing 8.25s +25 in the front and 9.75s +20 in the rear if it wont look too crazy/awkward. Let me know what u guys think.
