Can someone check their engine for me?

I uploaded a video a few days ago regarding a ticking sound I been having after installing my headers and FP/OP. Frs: [ame]http://youtu.be/xoNSVgxRq2U[/ame]

A coworker checked to see where the sound was coming from and he believes it's coming right below the alternator. Not sure what that part is called but it does vibrate and thinks a screw is missing. Can anyone confirm that?

There's no screw there on mine. Just a plastic insert that goes into thin air.

Did you check any exhaust leaks?

Before cold start, spray soapy water on each gaskets and start the engine. It sounds like exhaust leak for me if these happened right after installing all those aftermarket parts.

What you have circled is part of the automatic tensioner for the serpentine belt setup. The sound you have is due to exhaust leaks. Buy new gaskets for all connections (although it sounds like it's at the head/header because one pulse sounds louder, rather than a constant hiss), reinstall everything, and torque to factory specs.

you could try driving it for a few days, then retorquing all of the bolts. The expansion and contraction of the metals and retorquing might help.

It almost sounds like you forgot to put the manifold gaskets on....

I did buy new oem gaskets forcthe new headers unless if I installed them upside down or something. What tool do you recommend for tightening that ONE screw from the header on passanger side. I'm sure that ONE isn't fully tight.

I didn't see any leaks when I left the car on after a few minutes.

Holy exhaust leak!

1) Buy welding leathers (to shield from heat in later steps)
2) Buy Any tools needed to get you as far as possible from header for installation
3) Jack up car
4) Give slight torque to bolts on header on all flanges. Loosen all exhaust flanges and tighten header <-> engine flanges first. Torque to spec
5) Start car. Let idle for 2-5 minutes (until warm)
6) Re-torque starting at header flanges. Heads will physically shift place causing the headers to shift placement, possibly loosening.
7) Let things cool verify they are still within spec. Let it cool down, start car and feel for exhaust leaks (do so with caution).
