What does it mean when tractions off and check engine come on?

This morning i didnt let my car warm up and drove it. Got a check engine light with traction off. Stoppes turned car off and then on and revved the motor a little and the traction light went away. Has anyone expeienced this?

Check your gas cap. It's happened to a ton of us. Remove your gas cap and then tighten it until it clicks. Simple and stupid but it's the actual fix. If that doesn't do it, move on to scanning for codes.

So car tuned with the vortech 2.5 bar map sensor and the code that it threw this morning was p0068. So my tuner thinks the car is either trying to relearn the throttle postions or the map sensor needs to go to a 3 bar

The track off light means your traction button is off..........you can fix it by pushing the button under your stereo. As for the check engine light or CEL, that could mean a number of things. Do you have an after market intake??? What kind of mods do you have???

Incorrect. The traction and cruise control light comes on every time the CEL comes on.

Umm... Why not put in the original post that the car has a Vortech and a tune? Because those things couldn't possibly cause a check engine light?

Do we have to ask if you've done anything else to the car?

That code is related to MAF. Check for leaks in your SC setup, make sure everything is good, then send some datalogs to your tuner so they can troubleshoot it better.

Who's the tuner? The ECU learning the throttle wouldn't trigger that, and your Vortech should be fine with the 2.5 BAR MAP sensor, so long as your tuner scaled to it correctly.
