2. Has anyone tried a short ram type intake? Would this reduce lag or would the benefit of the filter straight off the supercharger be negated by the hotter air being pulled in from the engine?
We made an aluminum "warm air" intake that sits with a massive 3" filter right where the stock airbox was. We did not need to remove timing from the tune, and it felt like it picked up a few HP. Having the big opening for the blower to pull through is not such a bad thing, and given the small opening of the stock inlet, doing a proper cold air intake will not be as simple as sticking a kinked pipe through there.

Oh yeah, the whine with the 70mm pulley and an open intake is GLORIOUS. Add an UEL header to the mix (we run JDL) and a free flowing exhaust and the thing sounds like nothing else on the road.

Heard it in person, it sounds amazing. I want it so bad, now that the new shop is up think you could fabricate another?

3. From what I've read it's highly recommended to get a dual catch can setup to help protect all the parts. Is this true? I want my parts to go the distance.
4. I'm getting some lag occasionally around 1.5k-2k. I've read this is a result of needing the tune to be fixed. Is this still the case?
5. Any other minor things I can do for this kit to make it better? Not counting the intercooler, meth, or e85.
1)As Swift said, the Perrin makes the blower louder and bolts right up.

3) ABSOLUTELY get catch cans. We had the blower off on @xjohnx's car and the manifold had a nice oil sheen. I'm not sure how many miles are on it, but catch cans are a must.

Everything else is pretty simple, I had a bitch of a time getting the retaining clips back on, a few bolts of mine came off tight and i think thats why, its a REAL tight fit with the clips back in, so you might have to wiggle/pull the charger around to get the retaining clips in and bolted down.

also, grease up the o ring strips to keep them in place when putting the charger back on. Everything else is pretty simple, minus getting the air out of the system when filling it with coolant.

Its going to take the required amount of coolant so make sure you check how much you have put in. If i would have stopped without knowing the amount that its suppose to take I would have no coolant in there right now haha. Also, the water pump will be quiet once the air is all out. You will know the difference when you hear it.
Thanks for the tips. We ran out of daylight and had to call it quits before finishing, so we'll definitely use your suggestions tomorrow.

Yeah. It's not a great picture but you can kinda see the oil pooling around the plastic fittings. The whole elbow has a nice oil coating. This was right before I installed my catch can.

I already have the Perrin intake. I talked with Jason at Nameless Performance and he said they have a few metal tubes to replace the plastic ones. That should help make the supercharger whine more.

Because I get better gas mileage running at lower RPMs. 6th gear going 40-50 was getting me 38mpg. I don't drive that speed constantly anymore on my commute however so it doesn't matter now. I guess I should just saw screw it and go balls deep. WOT FTW!

I experienced the same thing as well when I pulled my charger off to install the intercooler. Will be installing a catch can soon, want to try and wait for the radium specific kit for the twins though.

I'm not saying to go WOT all the time, but there can be a compromise between the ultimate gas milage and potentially doing damage to your engine from lugging it.

Do you have plans to run e85? Also how loud is your setup with the uel and full exhaust?
