the remaining parts are more for faster revving, better response of the engine, lighter car, sound (exhaust) etc. Having 200whp on a 2000lbs car or 200whp on a 1800lbs car it makes a big difference (I'm not saying he saved 200lbs I'm just saying that not all the mods directly increase whp/tq numbers.) |

A bolt on E85 setup is the perfect solution for anyone wanting 40 or 50 more crank horsepower. The additional power is right now every where in the rev band. It is transformational at the track, providing the ability to execute a pass and get safely back on line. In my case the E85 tune yields 17 more whp than the 93 version.

So what?
If you want to compare all of his mods you should do different accellerations test and have the car run on the track with different setups and then you would see if it's almost 5k wasted or not. anyways let's get back on topic. |

It is just part of squeezing every last bit out of a stock NA engine, the cost increases exponentially for the last few HPs. I was just gasping how much was required to get the extra 7whp over the OTS map with OFH, 3 of which was further gained by shiv in an hour. |

fun. Awesome NA setup for the owner. Now with a few other possible future mods.. I wonder how far NA can be pushed on this engine.

We are just about at the limit with I/H/E and E85. That limit is pretty much set by the cams. Bigger cams and appropriate valvetrain (stock is mushy) and you could be making way more power, and revving higher. But you sacrifice drivability on the street with more aggressive cams, as this car doesn't have variable lift only variable timing. I'd Like to see what the limit would be on a SLIGHTLY more aggressive cam profile vs. driveablity. Something that will rev efficiently to 8200 and still have enough low end to putt around town. I hear some cam dyno plots will be coming soon.
