207whp… NA Full Bolt On E85

hi guys,
Just did a custom tuning job on mkivsoopra's BRZ. It was a cool project because it represents a max effort NA set-up. His car pretty much has every performance mod possible. And it runs exclusively on E85. Which means that it could (and perhaps it did) break some NA dyno record for the FA20.

Modifications (@mkivsoopra please correct me if I'm leaving anything out):

-TRD Intake box
-JDL UEL catless header
-Nameless over-pipe high flow cat front pipe
-2.5 full exhaust
-lightweight pulleys
-Carbon fiber driveshaft
-Exedy clutch
-Lightweight flywheel
-Lightweight SSR rims

.. and of course an OFT running our off-the-shelf Stage 2 UEL E85 map. Baselined at 204whp without any tuning. After an hour of custom tuning, we picked up another 3whp and smoothened out the curve a bit. There really wasn't much to gain :)

Dyno runs shown below (with the stock baseline from my car):

Car felt great just driving around the parking lot. Super revvy and racecar-like. Easy to stall if your not used to it though! Sounds like the next time I tune the car it will have a turbo… can't wait!

Cheers,
shiv

Thanks for the tune, Shiv! The car felt great driving home. The mods list is pretty much complete, except the clutch came with a lightweight chromoly flywheel too. :)

mkivsoopra had an OFT prior to tonights dyno tune. He was running the OTS map for UEL headers with E85. His baseline run with the OTS map was 204whp. With additional custom tuning, he picked up 3 who and smoothened out the curve slightly. Does that answer your questions? :)

Holy crap, did some number crunching and that extra 7whp cost around 5k?

The OFT+OFH is seriously good value!

^^ How are you calculating 7whp cost $5k??

He had all those mods listed + OFT OTS E85 tune which gave the 204HP. It was 207 after they did a specific tune for his car.

Just a rough estimate for his mods compared to just OFH.

Yes I know, I only roughly counted additional costs.

What part of his list will not contribute to power gain/loss, however minute?

-TRD Intake box
-JDL UEL catless header
-Nameless over-pipe high flow cat front pipe
-2.5 full exhaust
-lightweight pulleys
-Carbon fiber driveshaft
-Lightweight flywheel
-Lightweight SSR rims
