You got put in check son. He was probably pissed he had to eat regular Cheerios instead of the higher power Honey Nut Cheerios.

And I think we've highlighted why after numerous interactions with Brian, I won't be purchasing a Vortech.

Paying member > else, so I'll take my leave of this thread.

You got defensive when I said they might have wanted more power and removed the Vortech supercharger system. That was a possibility that didn't require a defensive response from Vortech. The Vortech system is limited in the power it can produce. I didn't say that there is anything wrong with the power it does produce, just that some want more.

There is a massive difference between saying " The Vortech system is limited in the power it can produce", and what you actually said. Which was:

By definition, any response to that kind of statement is defensive, because you are attacking our product. Whether you think you are funny or not is completely irrelevant.

Dude....get a mod in here, close it down and create a new one that isn't full of unnecessary griping and tolling. Too bad this had to happen.

Thank you! Now maybe we can get back to the initial point of this thread!

It is a hollow statement saying you aren't going to buy something based on this or that when you have made it perfectly clear ad nauseum in thread after thread that you had no intention of purchasing it to begin with. Trolling more threads will change nothing.

Anyways, Brian it's a great kit. How many of you can say you have a forced induction car? Be thankful that companies like Vortech took the time and R&D to give you guys another option. Like I said, The customer wanted something that will work for his needs and that's why our customer and we agreed on the Vortech kit.

1) Why would you remotely even care about a product that goes on a platform you don't even own any longer?

2) If you recall at 86nationals when you had an exhaust leak at turbo to manifold and you got help from Dynosty to tight up the loose bolt. and I said you might want to Try 12.8 grade stainless bolts because the wont stretch as much as those AutoZone bolts you had on your setup, you insisted you had "a ton of turbo builds man I know what I'm doing"

3) oh and the same show when my VORTECH powered car with a stock clutch out powered every turbo car INCLUDING yours by atleast 50whp and one turbo car by 100whp. and then on the way to INDY I put about 5 cars on the car that was trapping the same mph as your car on a 60mph highway pull

but your right to troll on a vendors thread about a product you never owned on a platform you no longer own

I seriously envy the amount of free time you have to make such in accurate assumptions.

and yes lets review vortech's video. You think a company as large as vortech can post some customer's cars STREET RACING or doing donuts in a parking lot. Your absolutely right they can't so yes the can do some city driving and wide angle shots parked. I don't remember seeing your bad ass video??

We all understand that the turbo kits have more power potential, but these kits have softer and less harsh power band on the rotating assembly. and we all also know adding a turbo to an NA car is not always practical for every customer given power goals, returning the car to stock, as well as skill levels and tuning capabilities.

1. Why shouldn't I care? How do you know I won't purchase another one in the future?

2. The only truth in this statement is that I did have an exhaust leak on one of the turbo to manifold flange corners. It didn't effect the way my car was running or the power it put down. I don't remember ever discussing bolt strengths or any AutoZone comment or ever discussing how many turbo builds I have had. For the record the BRZ was only my second turbo car with the first being a 1995 Acura Integra.

3. Your car is running E85. My car was running 93 octane. I think you know the results would have been much different if I was running E85. What I did notice was the turbo cars went down the drag strip at Indy while the most powerful highest MPH E85 Vortech powered car didn't make any runs down the drag strip.

I posted multiple videos of my car online. Two dyno videos, one first test drive video with a buddy in the car, and a final video once the car was properly tuned that showed in car and out of car footage. I ran my car on many dynos, ran it down the drag strip, and was going to finally track it next year. I, unlike most owners on this site, have an actual race car that I track 6 to 7 weekends a year, so I don't need to track my BRZ or other more expensive car that I can't afford to wreck.

I didn't say that, but he is the one that wanted to bring up MPH and how many car lengths he could put on my car on the highway. If this is the way it is going to go, then here are the dyno plots from the 86Nationals of my car on 93 octane and his on E85. You will notice he didn't start making more horsepower or torque than me until around 6250 RPM. This is the clutch saving power levels he talks about:

I have no problems with people making jokes on message forums. I don't like it when things get personal or when false statements are made. That crosses a line.
