not related to the openflash maps, but i switched to e85 this morning and i'm loving it! very simple to convert my pump gas map. it's amazing how much smoother and stronger it is with no changes beyond scaling. i'll be going on the dyno soon to up the boost and fine-tune the timing. exciting!

Unfortunately I don't have any logs of cold starts. I've noticed that my LTFT's have gone from 3.2ish at the start of this tank down to -1.56 today. I'm wondering if I just got a tank of bad E85 as the first tank I put in had absolutely no issues with the standard Stage 2 E85 maps shiv provided. I filled back up and I've had issues starting ever since. As for getting rom raider working. I've got it installed and I went to ECU definition manager and added the XML file ZA1JA01C that I downloaded from shiv's site. When I go to open the Stage 2 image I get an error message that says "ECU Definition Not Found." Suggestions or ideas on what I need to do to get RR working. I've got an image of some cold start tables for E85 on one of the threads here from RR, those might work if I could just get it loaded. |

My main issue is the cranking when its "cold". I'd prefer it to crank on the first try instead of taking 20+ attempts like the maps that shiv provided at the start of this tank. Maybe I got a tank full of E95 like a couple people in cali had. A couple other members helped out with suggesting to modify the injector pulse width and that helped some, but even still it took 5 cranking attempts to get the car started in 68 degree weather. 68 degrees isn't cold in my book and if that's what I have to look forward to every single day then that's just not something I'm willing to deal with. I had hoped that there was some fix to the issue instead of just going back to 93, which is why I've resorted to asking here since Shiv is banned and didn't answer my email (I'm sure he's busy). It seems through the conversations here that I've been modifying the wrong tables, but the tables I changed were the only ones available through tuner pro, which is why some people suggested to used romraider.... except I can't get romraider to load using the XML files provided by shiv. Again... its probably something I'm doing wrong. |

Don't stress about those LTFTs, as long as you're between -5% to 5% (some are comfortable with -8% to 8%) you're good.
Maybe try using the direct source of the XMLs - i.e. here: https://raw.github.com/TD-D/SubaruDe...R_ZA1JA01C.xml |

I must actually remind Shiv to save all the OTS tunes with Romraider if they are migrating across, not to alarm users ![]() But from the note, I assume you now can open the rom using Romraider? |

They look identical to Shiv's standard Stg 2 E85 maps. So where and what should I change to potentially fix my cold start issues? EDIT: Of course they are identical... derp, that is shivs maps displayed LOL. I hate to be such a bother, but I'm new at this and I'd love to learn how to fix this stuff so I don't have to bother people with my issues. Thanks again for any help. |

Those logs look pretty decent - you are carrying a small amount of AF learning into open look though (-1.56) which is leaning you out a bit. Basically, the learning from AF learning range D is carried across into open loop - so it's best to have it at zero.
There's a trick to deal with that quite easily - set the af learning range C (the last one) to 60. It will disable learning carrying across into open loop. |

Follow mad_sb's directions - multiply those cells where you are having problems (i.e. 32, 50 and 68 in your case I would imagine?) by a factor - try those suggested by mad_sb (i.e. 1.3 for the lower and lower for the 68 cell - 1.2). You have to be careful not to overfuel it, because that also creates problems cranking. Do it on all 6 tables (including the 2D table). Once we get you sorted here, hopefully you won't have warm restart issues, which can present with E85 as well - but there's a fix for that too
