Thanks. If the steering motor is the cause i wonder how it happens. Too many 'heat cycles'? I need to find a solution quick because it is starting to feel like those old logitech wheels I used to use for gran turismo 3 lol

Anybody know if it is the elec motor that overheats or the driver box? Maybe some cooling air diverted to both would help or at least change its time before it happens. Can't wait until steer by wire overheats.

I cannot explain how much I hate when this happens. Weird thing is when you turn on VSC sport mode on, the steering dynamic is more natural, but when drifting and turning of traction control, the electronic steering assist stays on. It feels like I'm fighting the wheel.

another bump.
im hoping to rectify this issue with the perrin offset psr ensuring higher and even dynamic caster levels and additional bracing upfront. could this actually be some sort of crazy bumpsteer/roll center issue? i realized that i am actually lower than stock by about 30mm. i am thinking it isnt a geometry problem, given some other local 86 owners experience this at 10mm lower. i guess i will keep throwing parts at it until i can work out what it is!! lol |
