Every modern toyota I've ridden in has had grab handles above the window or on the A pillar... does anyone with other Subarus know if it's a Subaru thing?

Or maybe a sports car thing...?

Or just a Twin thing.

The FRS comes standard with them .... they are on the doors. If you are sitting properly in the seat and bracing with your feet on the floor and have your right arm resting on the arm rest and hand grabbing the handle and left elbow/upper arm bracing the seat bolster - it's better at keeping you in place than a useless overhead grab handle would.

Tell your passenger to man up and move their seat forward and use their legs to brace for corners.

With your legs properly braced and how supportive these seats are, you don't have to do a damn thing with your arms... Heck tell her to sit there and text while in the middle of a powerslide or something.

I find reclining the seat a bit more than usual helps in dissipating the G forces.

As much as I want to tell my girlfriend to "man up" something just doesn't seem right about that....

I just can not see the value of holy shit handles in a car of any kind other then a luxury long distance car. Sure in my 4x4 plenty of use to "climb" up into, but on this car no that would be saying (farm) just abit too much IMO....

Yeah I agree not necessary but just sort of a nice luxury to have

as someone mentioned before especially for hanging a suit/clothes they are nice...I took another look above our windows though and there really isn't a nice, flat spot where you could mount them anyway

Looks like I'll be telling the wifey to suck it up!

Actually... oh shit handles might be useful for entry/exit of the car.

I find some passangers don't know how to get out of the car without puttjng fingerprints everywhere or grabbing the glass :|

This is a good point and very true, especially if you're trying to get out of the car with something in one of your hands (I grab my briefcase as I get out)

The car being so low makes it difficult to simply get out without using your hands
