You're not going to notice a difference among those. They are both good quality. I got the PasswordJDM strut tower (check my build thread) because I got a good deal on it and it looks the best to me. I'm not much of a "dress up" the engine bay kind of guy but it looks very impressive when the hood is open.

How about one that doesn't have any hinges (which makes for designs with extra unnecessary weight)? Single piece, TIG welded, very light, and for less money:

Our FR-S Strut Brace makes for a quick and easy install. It will also stiffen up the front of the vehicle. We offer a 3 point brace to tie everything together. We have sold several of these strut braces and every customer has been impressed with the final outcome.

JDL Auto Design recently purchaced our complete kit and ran it on their FR-S for the Import Tuner Shootout and they were blown away about how well this car performed with simply a bolt on suspension kit. Here is a picture of it installed.

If you have any questions feel free to give me a call.

Of the two you have above, I like the Password JDM brace. No hinges and fairly strong looking hardware. I also like the FT86SpeedFactory one as an alternative.

Best strut brace I have seen so far is the Ground Control one, but you need their camber plates to make it work:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...trol+strut+bar

As for better options, well, no one has yet made a brace for the FR-S to match the one on my previous car, an E36 M3. MUCH stronger than anything I have seen so far. Nothing beats heavy, thick welded steel.

Read "Strut Brace Facts" here:
http://www.strongstrut.com

Look at pictures of the new models here:

Here is a pic o my old car:

Every time I bring up the hinges argument I get shot down. It's like nobody cares that they're spending money on something that is mostly for show when there are truly functional pieces in the same price range. Especially given how little a strut bar will do on a modern chassis, why wouldn't you get the product that would do the most if you're truly after that last little bit.
