Restriction on the exhaust side contributes to pressure in the intake manifold at any given flow rate, yet another reason 10psi turbo /= 10psi sc

Ah....yes.... but have you considered the pressure differential across the intake valve? And how it can be affected by intake valve opening angle?

Boost is nothing more than resistance to flow. Try and jam more air volume into an engine than it can move through itself and it backs up.... ie.... boost.

Assuming constant air flow supply... increasing displacement, adding a cam, porting the head etc... and for the same air 'supply' , 'boost' will drop.

There is no question that for the same mass flow, the turbo makes more power.

Look at any racing class where they limit compressor sizes and dictate weights. Outlaw drag radial is where we race. The turbo cars have to be 200 plus pounds heavier and the supercharged cars can have much bigger impellers. Guys running blowers at our level have said that it takes upwards of 300+ hp right off the crank to move the 2000+ hp of air that they are

For the love of...
If someone would just buy a SC and a Turbo, boost them both to the same psi (lets say 10 for simplicity's sake) and then spend a whole day swapping between stock, SC, and TC on the same dyno, attempting to maintain the same atmospheric temperature, then we can finally see the end to this madness
MADNESS!

If people are so worried about efficiency than why do either? Max efficiency will be achieved by taking the bus.

Buses use turbos by the way.
