Our tray still fits the Shorai, just don't see a lot of people wanting to spend the $$$ on the battery.

After the Cold Cranking Amps, the most important specification is the Amp Hour capacity. This determines how long it will take the battery to completely discharge under a given load.

Stock battery is 48AH. This means that if you had a 1A load running constantly (say you left the dome light on, and in this hypothetical situation let's say that dome light pulls 1A, for example), the battery would discharge in 48 hours. The Shorai would last 36 hours under the same conditions, and the Braille would last 15.

Not trying to crap all over FT86Speedfactory's product, but it weighs twice as much, with half the capacity, and is only $86 cheaper than the Shorai (when you exclude the mounting kit).

So all these eco-weenies driving their Priuses are actually good for something: They are driving the prices of Lithium batteries down to the point where they are almost as cheap as the older Lead Acid designs.

I would like to suggest that you list the compatible batteries with your tray.

The 3.5 lbs of the 16 cell Ballistic battery makes it the clear winner.

We list the tray measurements on the site so people can fit whatever battery they may need. So many options its hard to nail them all down on a list.

I was talking from customer point of view. It will be easier for me.

By the way, I like your website. It is so informative.

@8686, may I ask which battery you ended up getting? Thinking of getting a lightweight battery myself, after the OE one dies. My problem is my car is pretty much a weekend car.

I think you'll be waiting a pretty long time for your OE batt to die. If you really want to upgrade to a lighter batt you might as well just decide which one you want and make it happen

Since it's not a dd I'd suggest you get something with decent AH rating, else you might find a flat batt....and shit like that always happens at the most inconvenient of times (like when you're late for work)
