I would say that around the time the clutch starts to give is probably a good point to call it safe. I'd rather have the clutch die than the transmission.
if i'm correct this clutch can't handle more than 220 lb tq. There is obviously a relationship between boost and torque you get but i'm gonna guess around 8psi is probably ok which is why all FI kits start around 5psi to play it extra safe. This car doesn't need more power than whatever the 5psi gives you. if you need more power you bought the wrong car. |

One will NEVER be happy with their current modification status. Whether it's parts or power. Just have to appreciate where your car started to where it is now. Granted, I have only changed the badges and tinted the windows as of yesterday. Take your time and enjoy the car as time moves on! |

I know because mine currently makes ~250whp, and its definitely not enough. Of course ymmv, you may expect less, but I was a bit underwhelmed with that level of power coming from a 260whp miata. Luckily ill be turning the boost up soon .

Any amount of whp you have as a goal will never be enough. You get used to the power, and although the car doesn't lose anything, it won't feel as fast to you.
I've had my car back for 3 weeks. 400 whp. I've already talked to LJ @FullBlown and figured out how much I need to save up to build the engine and turn up the boost. It's a sick addiction, and I wouldn't trade it for anything
