Safe/reliable amount of Hp range for BRZ
Hey Guys,
I just have a question for what is the safe amount of boost/Hp you can get on a BRZ without making a noticeable problem in terms of manufacture reliability. "noticeable" I know any boost to engine would make it less but what is the safest except for factory tuned? Thank you guys in advance.

no one knows whats "safe" yet car is still to new!
im currently on 5-16psi depending on how my night is and how fast i want to drive and i have about 10,000 turbo miles and its still going! |

It all depends on what you mean by safe and what degree of supporting mods you are comfortable/can afford to install.
Safe for the stock clutch? Safe for the stock internals? If you mean this, Full Blown has a car pushing over 600whp on the stock FA20 internals. |

so true because i had to change my clutch so many things go into play...but anyways what ever happened to that "600"hp car? do you know i been going thru threads trying to find updates

I just want to supercharge it to about 250 horse, and was told you could keep the clutch stock and fuel sys.

I'm shooting for 260whp, I think injectors and fuel pump will be a good idea. Don't skimp out on intercooler, water/air will be nice instead of just air/air. Meth injector will be nice for fail safe.
Drive train wise, I have an AT and sounds like it holds up better than MT according to some techs. I'd be concerned more about the rear diff (depending on how you drive, track/auto-x etc) and keeping the fluids cold with AT cooler and a oil cooler. If this is your DD, I wouldn't recommend going FI for another year and see how people are holding up around the 30k mile mark after FI. It is too early to tell.

We need a boost by gear setup for our cars asap it would help so much with traction, add good tires in there and call it a day! on the other note for 600whp+ in these cars a built motor would def. be a good idea but look at Full Blown Motorsports they hit it on stock motor just a matter of how long it will last at it. I cant wait to make 400-450whp when I boost mine I think ill be happy with that for awhile!
