First off, show me where you can order this car from BMW. This car is a COMPLETLEY different type of automobile, this is a dedicated factory race preped shell. This is NOT A FACTORY OPTION. If it is, i would really like to see where to order one. This is not the same as having a mass produced car with an options list that ignores economies of scale to cater to a small crowd. ANYWAY, I am not here to argue, all I am saying is I dont think it will happen and in my opinion its kind of ignorant to expect it at all, its an asthetics issue, a cost issue, and its just not going to happen. why will it be bad business sense? It's an OPTION right?
make an FT86RS stripped down, minimal sound proofing, steelies, lightweight where-ever and i'll go for that one |

it makes sense to offer the option, but i'll probably get the standard alloy wheels until i get a good chance to get a set of these:
![]() i don't think i want to rock steelies while i save up a few grand for wheels... come to think of it, how about they just offer the LM's to begin with and save me the trouble? ![]() -Mike

Sure, why not... BMW and Lexus are direct competitors.

some dealers over here actually used to throw in aftermarket wheels when u buy the Evo RS as an incentive. Would be cool if it happens to the FT
i'll rock some white TE37s on a white FT

lmao! haha yes it was.
Look, just had an idea and figured it would make sense for a car which a lot of buyers would like to use for drifting, the track, or some other form of racing either legal or illegal. I'm all for a lightweight no frills option and would hope a set of "disposable" wheels would be included along with some savings. Heck, if a no frills option was $2000-3000 dollars cheaper than the normal model, that's a really nice set of wheels right there. This car is being promoted already as a serious track car, one to compete with the Z for the hearts of enthusiasts who actually drive their cars the way they're meant to be driven. I don't think Toyota will do this but I figure if we get enough positive responses to threads such as this, Toyota will take notice and seriously consider it. I'm pretty sure they check up on and read forums like this one so why not talk about it? Take your head out of your ass and go back to finger painting that helmet you're wearing... |

Last time I checked, almost every car model from almost every manufacturer has steel wheels with some BS flashy looking wheel cover. I don't think its a stretch to see it here either. |

see why i'll just stick with the factory alloys? there's no way in hell they'll give a $4000 discount. -Mike

You can get an RPF1 for around $250 a wheel, they aren't knockoffs and will weigh several pounds less than the OEM wheels.
