The Subaru BRZ is in some seriously elite company in Motortrend’s upcoming “Best Driver’s Car 2012” competition. The BRZ will be going against the Camaro ZL1, Mustang Shelby GT500, Jaguar XKR-S, Laborghini Aventador, McLaren MP4-12C, C63 AMG Black Series, GT-R Black Edition, and 911 Carrera S.

In our heart of hearts we know that the BRZ is may not take the Best Driver’s Car crown against this field of automotive studs, but that the BRZ is even included in this group is a testament to the high respect that auto journalists pay to the BRZ and FR-S’ handling prowess.

The results will be posted beginning next Monday (August 20), so check back then!

The sales numbers for the BRZ and FR-S for the U.S. market are in for the period ending July 2012.

Through two months of sales, BRZ has sold 1,587 units and FR-S 4,419 units.
