These are only for looks on a DD. They only make a very slight difference at the absolute limit of traction. They will make a slightly bigger (but still not much of a improvement) if you run R rated tires , but again this is at or near the absolute limit of traction.

On the other side some people claim (no idea if this is true) that over many years a sturt brace can help a car keep its chassis rigidity.

I noticed a difference with my front. Rear makes no sense to me as there is no lateral force through the rear mounts.

To me the improvement from bracing is subtle but I know that when I install them. I think they get a bad rep when people have unrealistic expectations.

Maybe some ST's or just get swift springs and call it a day.

Then I would leave it stock.

If anything you could do some RCE springs or TRD springs if you want to lower it a bit and they work well with stock shocks but it will make the ride stiffer for sure. You could also buy some good tires because that will give you the biggest gains in handling for that price point. Also invest in camber bolts (they are cheap) and get a little more camber in the front then the rear to improve handling.

The biggest bit of advise I can give you is don't cheap out on suspension because this car is already very well designed so its hard to improve apon cheaply.

Again as you said you want to improve it for the highway I would leave it stock and save your money.

I forgot about swift springs. Highly recommended those if you go that route.

Those are a good pick but out of his price range, plus he will need LCA's if he lowers it more then an inch and wants to keep his tires from getting wrecked if he does a lot of highway driving. (Too much negative camber for the highway)

Ordered mine from Raceseng last week with ten percent off, $900 shipped to my door. They had 20 percent off yesterday, that deal might still be good.

You can put camber bolts in stock lcas to stay under two degrees I believe. An alignment should be done no matter what coilover is installed and this will affect every option so far proposed.

Edit no idea if they will be "better" on the highway.

Man at that price then that seems like a great upgrade!!! I am sure they will offer a more planted feel on the highway and have great high-speed dampening. Maybe the OP should go the same route as you! I was going to get Bilstens but I didn't like the fact they are progressive but they seem like a really nice unit from all my research.
