Question TRD Spoiler question? Bolt or not?

Hey so I got my TRD spoiler today. Was urgently wondering if I had to get it bolted on or just stuck on?

I'm leaning towards sticking it on, but I'm not entirely sure.

Any help appreciated,thanks.

EDIT: Getting quoted $100-300 here in Australia/SA. Seems a bit overpriced for a simple spoiler installation?

Is that the only reason? I'm pretty isolated/low pop area and keep it garaged so theres probably a very minor chance that'd happen.

The reason I opted to get the TRD spoiler from Japan was the fact that it designed to be bolted in. I couldn't stand the idea of some kid walking by my car and ripping it off with his bare hands.

i bolted mine on using the original spoiler holes....the paint under my spoiler was all scratched though....its a little upsetting. If only this spoiler covered the whole area that the old spoiler rested.

Easy money, I suppose. A member posted a while back some person walked by and took it right off.

So, you are telling me that there is a band of punk kids pulling on TRD spoilers hoping they are not bolted on? That's what you are telling me? Do they then use the abs to make a prison shank or something?

I think that guys fell off due to poor installation and he assumed someone stole it.

If these are not installed properly they can be taken. The 3M tape is made for automotive use and is difficult to remove items once it's cured. It would take some strong guy to remove it and it won't be a quick item to remove.

I just used a whole roll 3M tape. It good for something along the lines of 30lbs of force. So unless your going to have a small child jumping on it, good luck getting it off. Especially after it cures for a few days lol

I dremelled off the bolts. I used the 3M that was already on the spoiler + added a bit of my own where the bolt would have supported it. I've had it on for over 2 years and it hasn't budged or moved.

Some OEM spoilers are simply 3M taped on like this as well. If properly applied and cured, I dare anyone to be able to pull one off without using floss.

I can sit on my spoiler. All those complaining about it getting ripped off need to learn how to do thing s properly. If it's getting ripped off, your install was shit.
