Single exit options (seeking opinions)
Hey guys,
I'm in the market for an exhaust, I know I want to go single exit, with all of my Si's in the past I ran Apexi NOir (which is a "sleeper" type exhaust, powdercoated black and usually on the quieter end of aftermarket catbacks). I was originally looking at the Tomei 60s, but due to it being on the most expensive side and recent reviews I've read people are stating that it is pretty loud (which is not what I'm looking for). I am looking for something lower on the price point so I can spend more toward more power gaining type mods (IE header/OFT). I am looking for something "subtle" on the sound aspect and not too flashy. The 2 that I am leaning toward are the Megan Racing Drift spec (with a price of 390ish is hard to beat), and the FT86SF V2 Resonated (almost twice as much as the Megan). Would like to hear from you guys who are running the various single exits on the market and what their personal experience and opinions are. It's really hard to judge by soundclip vids on the internet, so any input would be appreciated. Thanks! |

I use the HKS Hi-power single exit i like it a lot! and much quieter than my EVO 3. Plus the pricing on it is pretty good. I got mine from speed factory

+1 for the HKS, they just recently lowered the price on it as well.

I should add that I do plan on getting other exhaust pieces as I go, header, downpipe, frontpipe. I just went ahead and watched (listened) to the HKS demo, it sounds stellar with stock components, but once they added the header and frontpipe it became a screaming fartcan.
Do you guys only have the HKS catback by itself? |

I had the Tomei 60R. Sounded fucking sweet with stock everything, but became an absolute screamer with a catless header.
10/10, would recommend. |

If you want quiet/subtle with a header + front pipe, my LegSport single exit muffler sounds perfect with a stock midpipe combined with a Nameless front pipe and Revworks header.
![]() Note: The video is with the stock front pipe, its louder with the Nameless resonator-less front pipe now but inaudible while cruising (zero drone) |

Berk or Nameless single exit delete; Nameless single exit muffled delete. Berk without muffler is mind-blowingly loud with header and catted front pipe though (that's why I have the Nameless muffled single ordered). Full Blown Motorsports also has a single full catback that's fairly reasonable.

Just go to your local exhaust shop and tell them what you want.
This is my single exit exhaust.

Nameless Track Pipe (or Berk) sounds surprisingly great on an all stock system. Aside from the highway cruise speed drone, these two options are probably the most affordable, budget friendly way of livening up the car. Now once you start changing out the headers, FP etc. with the Track Pipe then things can get ridiculously loud.
