Engine idle jumping

Hey guys,
When my car is idle with the AC off, my revs jump from 500rpm to 1000rpm, car is brand new, anybody else have a similar issue?

Is it on cold starts or on already heated up engine? High rpm in former is for every car with that+different cam/ignition timing tuning to quicker heat up cat. I wouldn't say that idling to 1K is normal when engine is heated up though.

Already heated up engine, as long as its not a mechanical issue seems like just a sound quirk so far

hmmmm....... back in the day, one could just look up a vacuum gauge and by reading it, and adjusting a couple of screws, one could determine what was going on with that idle thing.

THEN, they added an automatic choke and it went downhill from there .....

Today, with the ECU in control, maybe it just felt like messen with you.

I wouldn't worry about it .....

(who in the hell, let that old man back in here ..... )
