Oil pressure and Oil Temp sensor - where did you mount them and how
Show me where and how did you install your oil pressure sensors and/or oil temperature sensor.
I see 2 main options - oil gallery plug next to the AC - oil sandwich plate NPT plugs Secondary options: - aftermarket oil cooler plugs I wonder what is the most accurate.

I used the Oil gallery for oil temp. It was simple.

I did galley for pressure and Sandwich plate for temp. Comparing plate to OEM temp sensor, only off by a few degrees.

I would advise against using the oil galley for Oil Temp. I am seeing up to 45 degree difference in temperature readings at the galley vs. what my OFT is reporting from the OBD port.
![]() Kind of hard to tell, but that is 170°F on the gauge reading from the Oil Galley, and 210°F from the stock sensor. Cruising at 70mph.

That I am not sure of^^. I have been wondering that myself, but it is where most of the track guys seem to be pulling their temps from. (or pull temp from sandwich plate/stock pressure location which report very close to stock sensor)

OBD pulls from a sensor in the block just under the oil filter. I don't bother with aftermarket gauges for anything the car already monitors.
To answer the OP, an oil pressure sender can go in either the galley plug or the front of the block. The oil pressure range specified in the manual is taken from the port at the front. That being said, the oil galley will apparently give a better idea of the oil pressure as seen by bearings, and that's where I'll be mounting mine (due in large part to packaging simplicity). Pressure measured at the oil galley will be up to 10 PSI lower than pressure at the port on the front of the engine. |

Oil temp and pressure are critical to monitor.
I have my temperature sensor in my oil gallery plug. Works well. Pressure senders can be sensitive to vibration. Most of the time manufacturers suggest remote mounting pressure sensors so engine NVH doesn't cause it to fail. I had this happen. It took many hours to clean the oil out of my engine bay. |

Also That is why I am glad my gauges came with a small sender ![]() Although I replaced this with the temp sensor as it wouldn't fit the adapter for the front of the block. Pressure sensor is located in the stock location.

I think your temps are correct. Oil will be different temperatures depending on where it is in your engine.

Did the install this evening, installed pressure sensor at front of engine, didn't like how it contacted the throttle body wire harness at the galley port.

I have my pressure sensor in the oil galley plug and temp sensor in the OEM pressure switch location. My oil temps are reading about 20 deg higher than OBD, which I find very strange since I thought the OBD reads from nearly the same location.
