Camshaft timing oil control valve assembly - P0013
Yesterday I was driving home and popped a CEL for P0013. I opened the hood and noticed that a wire was dangling torn from the Camshaft timing oil control valve assembly...bank 1 exhaust.
This piece broke off and there is some oil residue on the cover. I haven't touched anything near that area. Anyone else face a similar issue? Part number for the piece? ![]()

Hi....I have a leaking, bank 2 exhaust oil control valve. I am going to replace the seal myself- just wanting to confirm this is simply an unbolt>replace seals>bolt back on deal? No funny business going behing the valve that I need to be aware of?
Thanks :-) |

Yea personally I didn't need to worry. BUT my engine block had a hole in it the size of my pinkie and I didn't know if I had any oil in it or not bec I didn't bother to check (you can check my other posts regarding that issue). Which is a stupid way of thinking.
In my experience, going on the assumption that I thought my block was fine, had no hole and had oil, all i did was unscrew the bolts and pry it off with your hands and use a flathead of necessary. Then I oiled up the new one around the outside edges and just dropped it in. Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk |

can you explain the symptoms of your car or was it just a light. did the car hunt for idle? hard to drive at low rpm? and was that the only code thrown?
