AI versus Drop-In WITH TUNE
So I know and always see people saying throw a drop in, it makes more sense for your money for this car BUT
If I am getting an OFT Wouldn't the gains from an Intake System actually make sense at that point vs. a drop-in AKA will an actual intake be more utilized with the OFT vs a simple drop in? |

Vishnu/openflash are releasing a tune for the new Grimmspeed intake, so if you really want an intake I would go with that. |

Also, at this point in time OFT+Grimmspeed is the only (canned) open flash tune specifically made for making additional power with an aftermarket intake. If you are going to get a custom tune, you could probably get any intake you prefer. |

I have a perrin drop in along with silicone inlet tube and I just purchased a grimmspeed intake for more stable AFR levels. Dropins with inlet tubes are perfectly fine but the grimmspeed intake appears to make a tiny bit more power along with more consistent AFRs.

I don't want to assume anything but it appears that Shiv might want to spend some time looking at anything that would affect fueling during warmup (ie MAF compensation IAT). That or I need a new primary O2 sensor, which I guess is possible. Last edited by Malt; 11-14-2014 at 07:53 AM. |
