2015 BRZ - Safety bypass softhack?

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with this? Apparently the old unit in the Canadian BRZ could be soft hacked by hex editing the navi.exe as per http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24934.

However with the new unit (FA743CS on Canadian model, I think FA643US for the states) we cannot use the files provided here to kick it into testmode, let alone editing the exe file. (I would assume the hex codes will be all different too anyways but maybe Safe Mode could even be toggled without editing)

I hate this feature so much. Sometimes when the road gets complicated (best example, construction at a highway offramp), I have to keep rolling and have my passenger key in the GPS for me, yet it simply won't let. Personally I am not someone who prefers to fiddle with wiring, but if the principle can be explained, I would not mind taking that route.

Anyone knows WHO makes this unit at least? That could be a good start.

I could be wrong but I think Fujitsu makes the head unit, at least the US model one. People have been able to override it but it involves disconnecting or putting a switch in between the vehicle speed sensor line and the head unit. There's a thread on it, but overriding that makes for cruddy GPS functionality if your signal is poor.
