Bent or cracked a stock rim?

Who has bent or cracked a stock rim? How did you do it? Not knowing is a valid answer. Know somebody who did? I want to get a sense of how tough these stock rims are. My BMW rims were garbage.

I smacked a curb pretty hard and it took out a sizable chunk of the rim. Tire still held air and I got home safely.

Nah, at the time, MAYBE 15-20 mph, but I also over-corrected which whipped the tail around at likely a much faster speed.

This set has been long sold. I got a set of SSR Type Cs from someone on NASIOC and refinished them. Needless to say I don't plan on destroying these, but I digress.

After two winters (one hard and one weak), my stock wheels are okay at best. I'd say i put around...43K miles on them? I hit a lot of potholes last summer, enough to get a few tire bubbles.

OEM wheels are strong, yet still hold a barley light weight for being OEM. But will see how many more winters they'll last me. If not, BBS winter wheels then!
