So I Bent a fender...

So guys... unfortunately i got into a little accident backing out of a drive way. figuring out a way to deal with this. It's a couple dents so I don't think i can just bang it back out without screwing with the paint... I was actually planning on getting a body kit done anyway down the road.

Do you think it would be more cost effective to just bite the bullet and get a body kit now like the Rocket Bunny where it would go over/cut the fender, (not sure of any other kits that do that, if there are please let me know ). Or just to replace it and get a new one? Thanks in advance!

It MIGHT be a candidate for PDR. call around and compare prices.

Otherwise, just file insurance claim and get your kit.

$5k plus the cost of the kit to have it installed and paintwork, or cost of new fender and paint plus blend door for color match.

In the end it's really up to you. Do you have the money ready (or soon to be ready) to do the wide body?

I just did the same thing. Actually mine was worst. I just yanked on it like a man and most of the dent is gone. Most people don't notice it and PDR said probably 125$ to finish it up for me. Or......5000$ for a rocket bunny kit plus paint, wheels etc. Hmm....

You should be able to have that fixed with PDR for $100-200. Might not end up 100% perfect but I'd guess 95%+.

I'll defiantly look into it. I'm not too educated on car repair so I just assumed I would have had to replace the whole thing. Thanks!

I watched a seminar on painless dent repair and what they can do with a few pry bars, picks, and what not is pretty amazing. Check out youtube for videos of them doing some repairs, its pretty amazing

yeah that fender is 100% not a pdr candidate at all, it needs a fender plain and simple thats the most effective way to do this.

I say rocket bunny. But fenders are cheap for this car......... get just a fender. Don't use that small mishap as an excuse to permanently alter your vehicle. Do it because you want to..... not because you have to.

Just get a new fender and get it painted. If the shop is good enough, they won't have to blend it. Assuming your paint is basically new.
