p0198 code oil temp sensor malfunction circuit high

Finised my jdl turbo install started her up then threw that code...bad sensor? installed tee wrong? Any ideas

Did you wrap it in Teflon tape. You may have used too much and now the sensor isn't grounded through the block any more

Did you leave some of the threads , on both the adapter and the sensor, uncoated?

The obvious question would be did you hook the spade connector back on to the sending unit.

I should find out tonite..i forgot to put the fitting that goes to the tee and block because i didnt see the fitting hiding in the box..i put the tee directly in the block i hope that was caused the code
