Engine Coolant system
At cruising speeds my coolant temps will stay at 190-192.
Once I hit traffic it will creep up to 230ish within a minute or two and then it will suddenly drop down to 190 again when the fans come on. Then it will creep back up to 230 etc... I have the robispec giant radiator. Does this sound like normal operation? |

That's not normal. Could be low on water, or leaking at the drain plug. Inspect the radiator cap to ensure its clean. I used some GM coolant tablets that CBR recommended I try for any small leaks, and it clogged up the radiator cap. Fluid could flow out of the system, but not back in. I had to clean it out with distilled water and replaced coolant fluid.
