Wideband Placement on Borla UEL?

have any of you guys that have installed the Borla UEL header installed a wideband? If so, where did you have them install the bung?

Any photos would be greatly appreciated.

Ideally you want to place it in a location near the factory primary o2 sensor as that is where your car reads the Air/Fuel Ratio and you want to be in a similar location.

Be sure to allow for clearance for engine movement and don't place it right next the factory o2 sensor but actually on the opposite side and a few inches down if you can.

So which would be a better location?

Red or purple?
I honestly dont remember which o2 sensor was which when I installed my headers awhile back.

My fear of the red location is it's near a gasket and potential exhaust leak area which would result in a possible false lean condition.

Purple is OK but it's very close to the primary. I guess at that point purple is still the best option.

The farther from the engine exhaust point, the better for the wideband.

Does our car use the secondary O2 sensor for anything other than catalyst efficency measurement?

Well there you go. Use the stock secondary bung, leave the original sensor out
