Fuel Gauge problem

Hey guys,

I've encountered a problem and would like to know if it's something I should worry about.

I just filled up my tank and instead of my fuel gauge showing that the tank is full, the needle only goes about 7/8th of the way. After noticing this, I went to another gas station to try to fill the tank up even more. I got to put in about 1 dollar and the trigger on the pump automatically stopped. I checked my gauge again, but it still shows a tank that's only 7/8th full. Has anyone had this problem before?

Thanks in advance

This happens to mine once in a while if I top up the tank from 1/2 or more. If you let the tank go down to 1/4 or so before your next fill-up, I'd bet it reads fine. I did just what you did the first time this happened to me, and I wondered why it wouldn't take any more gas. Nothing to worry about.

Cool. I was wondering if it had something to do with that. I normally never fill up until my tank is low but lately, gas has been on the cheap side so I've been filling up as frequently as possible. Thanks again, roddy
