Fuel gauge not reading properly

Has anyone had any issue with fuel gauge not reading correctly.
On the weekend went and filled up the car, gauge was reading 1/2 full.
filled up car till the pump stopped, paid for gas drove off and noticed that the fuel gauge had not moved, still at same point before I had added fuel.

I did go to the dealer and they did not have an answer, they said that the electronic sensors act up sometimes.

There is another post with the same problem. I think it resolved itself in the end. Give seacrh a try - it's out there somewhere...

I haven't seen that problem on this car but have seen it on my brothers F-150 when the ignition was on during fueling. It corrected itself next fillup.

Wouldn't it then resolve itself the next time the car is turned off and back on if it were just a matter of inadvertently leaving the car set to ON while filling up?

All newish cars have a fuel "reserve"... The light will come on even though you will still have about 10 liters or so (even if on the 'E').

On my 2008 tc, it was more predictable. The bottom of the fuel guage was labeled with an 'R' for 'Refill' and had a gas pump below it. At the 'R' I still had a ways to go, but when it got to the gas pump icon.... goodbye.

One would think, his F150 didn't though. Again, no idea on this car but it doesn't seem to be the case anyways.

My light is always on before I fill up, maybe why I've avoided this

This happened to me yesterday. I ran the car down to 1/4 this weekend, and when I filled it up, it only went to just under 3/4. I re-filled today and the gauge didn't move.
