Hardwiring V1 - BRZ ... Ground wire?

Can I just connect the V1 provided ground wire to the screw on the back of the dome light? This is the only screw I can find... will this ground it?

Other suggestion?

I tapped mine into the homelink mirror wiring harness. If you don't have a homelink mirror the harness plug will be tucked away in the headliner next to the dome light.

There is another thread that I posted pictures in. You should be able to get an idea of which wire to tap in to.

I finished the hardwiring... What happens if the ground wire does not have a good connection?

It simply wont work, or work intermittently. I would suggest just tapping into any other ground wire.

I used a Escort passport 8500, with smart cord for remote muting, and powered it off of the cigarette lighter in the center console. I just tapped into both the power and ground for those.

Otherwise, any metal bolt that bolts into metal will work fine. But don't worry about something tragic happening if for some reason you ground it wrong. It just won't turn on.

Thanks, in fact, the ground came loose yesterday and it didn't turn on... I just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to explode.
