Whiteline camber bolt cam location??
Just got back from alignment. I installed eibach pro springs and whiteline camber bolts. I was surprised to find i had no camber.
I took the "answer" off the pictures, but i am curious for those who got negative camber with JUST these bolts where was the cam located? Figure 1 Or figure 2 Last edited by suaveflooder; 06-17-2013 at 07:22 PM. |

Outer washer tab towards the strut for negative camber. The INNER washer tab lines up with the cam on the bolt.

You want the strut to go one way and the knuckle to go the other. The inner tab should be outward and the cam should be pointing inward. Before anyone brings up loading and force distribution, the torque on the bolt is what holds the camber set, not the cam and tab. Those are just there to make it easier to set the camber. |

@OrbitalEllipses, did you have the alignment shop change settings? Just read the instructions online. Looks like @Calum is correct. My first problem is that my tab should be horizontal, and second, from the instructions, it seems as though this is the starting position. "To adjust". Loosen nut and rotate the bolt (step 6 and 7). Am i crazy or am i reading this correct? For full negative camber, that cam should be 180* from the inner washer tab

Even with these camber bolts I was only able to get .7 on the drivers side. 1.4 on the other. All cars aren't the same.
The tab has been removed on the drivers side to get from .7 to 1.2 and both sides are now even at that. |

You start with the bolts as they are in Figure 2, then keep the tab straight and turn the bolt end for negative camber; hold the bolt as is and tighten nut end.

That's where I missed it!!! I left it just like the picture. Explains why camber is at zero! Well, time to pull the wheels back off. At least it's quick
