How much should it be to install springs?
I am looking to get springs (ideally STI 'pink' springs for less than what japanparts charges).
I am just wondering how much should I expect to pay to install springs? I am in Vancouver and am just wondering what a typical cost is? Specialty Cars in North Vancouver quoted $150 per wheel - I assume this represents the high end of the range? Thanks!! |

There is a thread on this I believe. And I'm pretty sure that sounds about right I think some people got quoted more.

You are talking about the suspension spring right? $150 per wheel? That would be $600 to install springs.. Wow that is freaking expensive. I'd say the general price is $200-$300.

$600 is way too much, shop around. $200-300 is what i've paid on a couple of my old cars.

I would say roughly a 2-3 hr job depending if they know their way around the twins. 90ish bucks an hour for labour Did Speciality also factor in alignment or something cause that's crazy. Btw are you a North Van guy? I see quite a few around there now.

Thanks guys. I thought $600 was way to much.
Anybody know where to buy them other than japanparts.com? |

on this car, a spring install with proper tools and a lift should take NO MORE than 2 hours.
Add another hour for alignment. at a rate of 90.00 (and that's usually a dealer's rate) your install should not cost you more than 180.00 or 270 with alignment. but that's my personal belief, which is why i stay away from shops.

You can check GarageFive. They are in Richmond. I believe there are a few of these parts stores in Richmond but they aren't cheap. You are better off ordering online from USA. BTW check RS. Maybe you'll find some local groupbuys/sales there. |
