I don't think there is a way to do this without eventually damaging your tranny. You can probably do it a few times without problem. I don't have the auto version so I don't know for sure this is effective on the FR-S, but for most autos: hold the brake, and rev the gas up to the launch RPM. Don't hold for too long or you will burn out the transmission. One or two seconds at most. Release the brake and floor the gas. You may have to experiment/practice to get the right RPM for best launch. Better start saving money for a new transmission...

Thanks Man! I wanted to drag at least one time and then focus on autrocross but definetly don't want to hurt the car, my other ride is a MT 2005 Lancer Ralliart with a custom turbo set up and of course they are worlds apart but I am very pleased with how the AT feels in manual mode. looking foward to adding a vortech soon! Thanks again!!

Hold down the brake
Increase rpm to about 500 revs above idle by slightly pressing the accelerator
Then kick down the throttle whilst releasing the brake to launch of the line

This could definitely give you a better launch without harming your trans as much as having both pedals pressed fully down at once.
