Any good videos of the auto tranny at work?
Are there any good videos that show the auto tranny at work? I'm still torn. My 370Z was a manual (w/ sport package and synchro rev match) and I loved it but my GTI was a DSG and I loved that even more jus because of how incredibly quick the shifts were.
How close to a VW DSG is this auto transmission? |

Doesn't matter. Just want to see and hear how quick the shifting actually is.

ok. well just so happens that our regional rep brought a AT FR-S by the dealership to show us and I was able to take a quick ride in it (real quick). From waht I could tell it shifts probably just as fast ast the GTIs DSG or at least close enough, but it didn't have that "feel" the DSG has where it kinda "snaps" into the next gear. All in all pretty good but I'll have to wait till I drive a MT to decide what I like better.

It will never have the snap. The DSG is dual clutch while the AT FR-S is conventional torque converter with the trans fluid pressure raised up to shift faster.

The AT shift time is 0.2 sec according to this video (skip to 3:05):
