Gas cap cover not flush with body?

Hey guys,

was parked outside with the sun faced to the front of the car and noticed my gas cap didn't sit very flush against the body. Is this for everyone? If not, I may have to bring it back to the dealership. When the sun hits it at this angle, it's pretty evident.

a lot of cars a LOT more expensive than the 86 also has this

you can loosen the screws/bolts holding it on and readjust/rehang it

or leave it alone
