FRS Clutch job questions.

My TOB gernaded and gouged up the input shaft is this still usuable? If it's not usable is there any way to fix this? Also my clutch looks brand new but the pressure plate has some slight damage is this reusable as well? I'm going to take the small burrs off and it should be fine but would like a second opinion. Any input would be appreciated.

That chafing on the quill is super common, as in "everyone." The replacement part is not expensive. I think it's called the front bearing cover. Just get a new one and a tube of the special orange sealant. Clean and degrease thoroughly before installing. Even if the transmission has been drained, fluid will continue to ooze out from the mid-shaft bearing so, keep that in mind before removing the old one.

Good luck!

How many miles on your clutch? What kind of driving do you do? How soon do you want to pull it out again?

I'm not sure I think ~20k miles are on this clutch I just bought the car. I don't mind pulling the trans again it's super easy to do.

That pressure plate looks bad. If you don't replace it it'll probably wear out your new TOB.
I would just replace the whole clutch kit including the "quill".

And yeah, dropping the trans is really easy, it's putting it back in that's a bitch.
