Took my car in for an oil change...
I took my car in for an oil change today after they were done with that I guess they pulled it around for a wash without asking my permission. This is a short clip from my dash cam of them doing a poor job of driving the BRZ and using care to avoid things like potholes...

No one gives a damn about your car other than yourself , everytime I take any car to the dealer for service I specifically tell them not to wash the car and just do the service I require ..

I almost ordered my brz through them back in march till they told me it was going to have a $2500 "adjustment" on top of msrp.

Yeah, not surprising.
Some people just have no respect for other's property. I don't get 'courtesy' washes because they just scratch up your car, which is especially noticeable on darker finishes. I would avoid that dealer if at all possible. You can consider showing them that clip and see what they say. I will not be surprised the person driving your car does not know how to drive a stick. I am not sure what is worse, them stalling your car or take your car out for a joy ride and beat the hell out of it. There have been clips on the web about dealer staff taking brand new limited edition BMW 1M out for joy ride (and beat it up) before delivery to customer and proper break in. That staff apparently got fired. |

I was mostly annoyed that they did not ask for my permission before they took it for a wash. The entire situation could have been avoided by simply talking to me. I imagine a joy ride would be far worse then an inexperienced person just driving it around on the lot. But this drives home why having a dashcam all the time is so important.
