P0021 OBD-II Trouble Code: Camshaft Position A - Timing Over-Advanced - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

So I got this code on my BRZ and I've replaced the OCV with a genuine one from Subaru. I've also done an oil change after the light came on so I know that its not the oil's fault on why this code is popping up. And there's also a knocking noise coming from the same side of the block. I'm pretty sure that they are both related but then again I could be totally wrong. I've also tried to clear the code multiple times but it'll come back on the third time I start it after clearing. I've been stuck on this issue for over a month now. Will I have to rebuild the block or is it still safe? Any info would help.

No it's not

It's a salvage because it was hit from the back.
