ScanGauge X-Gauge codes for tire pressure/temperature

Not sure if this should go here or in wheels/tires, but I just noticed these were added on ScanGauge's site, anyone try them?

The firmware on mine is to old to try...I need to send it in for an update :/

Guess not...I got off my ass and mailed mine in for the latest firmware and it came back this morning. Works using the first set of codes from the link in the previous post (2013 BRZ).

I decided to send my ScanGauge in for a firmware update and try this as well. I learned a couple things:

There are two sets of Toyota tire *pressure* codes listed on the ScanGuage site. The codes where the TXD value is 07502A2190 worked for me.

The following was observed on a vehicle with 3K miles on it so the wheels have not yet been rotated from their factory installed positions.

Tires 1-5 are positioned on the vehicle as follows:

Tire 1 Pressure is Drivers Front Pressure
Tire 2 Pressure is Passengers Front Pressure
Tire 3 Pressure is Drivers Rear Pressure
Tire 4 Pressure is Passengers Rear Pressure
Tire 5 Pressure is Spare Tire Pressure?

I would assume the temperature sensors are positioned in the same way.

Tire 1 Temperature is Drivers Front Temperature
Tire 2 Temperature is Passengers Front Temperature
Tire 3 Temperature is Drivers Rear Temperature
Tire 4 Temperature is Passengers Rear Temperature
Tire 5 Temperature is Spare Tire Temperature?

If you don't have a full size spare with a TPMS sensor then Tire 5 just shows invalid data (my pressure reads -14.something).

The tire sensors don't update the ECU with new data very often. Maybe every 3-5 minutes or so.

When you first start the engine all values will show invalid data until the next update is received from each wheel.

The ScanGauge is able to display pressure values in tenths of a PSI but they always change in .3 PSI increments.

I'm guessing this is a limitation of the wheel sensor data precision.

Later . . .

So how does it know which is which? I'm sure the TPMS sensors have been scrambled around every time you get your tires rotated.

Yeah...you gotta go around and let some air out to figure out which one's which.
