Need to confirm a size not fitting stock suspension.

Quick version, will 18x9.75 +36mm fit stock suspension on a '13 FR-S?

I recently bought some XXR 550's through a shop. I told the manager the setup I wanted (staggered 17x8.5 front, 17x9.5 rear) but he recommended doing 18x9.5 +36 offset all around instead as he said he had other clients with FR-S's prefer that setup. I told him I wanted to remain on stock suspension for now and I knew that would really be pushing the limits but he claimed it would be fine so I went ahead and put in the order. However that wheel does not come in 18x9.5 it has to be 9.75. As far as I know that setup will not work for me but I wanted to be sure before calling the shop and having them change the order since it has already been shipped.

But will it rub? I don't mind mild extension outside of the car but I do need it to function.

It'll depend a bit on your tires... but it'll be really close. You might need a 3mm spacer.

I do like the width and will eventually go for coilovers so perhaps spacers will be just fine for now. Thanks!

Yeah, just don't go supermeaty with the tires. You might have to err on the side of a little bit of stretch.
