Passing emissions in CO cats or no cats?
I have a question about emissions in CO. Can I pass with removing both, one, or no cats? I know newer cars don't need to pass 7 years after the cars year, but mine is 2013 and would prefer not have to deal with that BS in 2020. Any help?

You'll need to register the car outside the emissions-requiring counties. Colorado Springs is a popular option, or somewhere out east. If they ask, you're "planning on moving here in the very near future."
All emissions tests have a visual inspection and if you've moved or removed any of the cats you will fail. Something to note, is none of the locations I've been to have a lift or pit, and solely use mirrors. You might be able to get away with having similarly shaped resonators/faked heat shields. The other option is to befriend a guy at one of the testing stations. Or, of course, keep your stock parts and swap them on when you go for the test. |

Maybe this is worth a new thread, but the last two times I've been in for emissions testing they have only plugged in the obd2 port and certainly you can't see much at all under the car with stock ride height. I would think you could swap out the 2nd cat since the o2 sensors are all upstream.
