BTW the stock airbox *must* be used for any ST prepped 2022+ BRZ/GR86. It has a charcoal filter that is part of the emissions equipment so it's not allowed to be removed.
14.10.C.1 1. The air intake system up to, but not including, the engine inlet may be modified or replaced. The engine inlet is the throttle body, carburetor, compressor inlet, or intake manifold, whichever comes first. The existing structure of the car may not be modified for the passage of ducting from the air cleaner to the engine inlet. Holes may be drilled for mounting. Emissions or engine management components in the air intake system, such as a PCV valve or mass airflow sensor, may not be removed, modified, or replaced, and must retain their original function along the flow path.

Pieces between could still be swapped though? I don't think the stock airbox has ever been considered a particularly beneficial mod for power.

I'll be crying in my '17 till it's worth nothing and also not worth keeping. Another 7 or 8 years at least. Maybe more. May just give up owning a car.

Subaru explicitly states it's an emissions component: https://www.subaru.ca/WebPage.aspx?W...ebPageID=17567 With the precedent set from the recent decision about the particulate filters that aren't but Porsche says they are, this is pretty clearly not legal to be removed unless the STAC writes a clarification that says it is.

The Porsche ones though are part of the muffler/exhaust though. So it could go either way in this particular case since we’re talking about an intake item here. But for consistency I think you’re possibly right. It needs some clarification

I can spare you some reading. You can do dampers (no more than 2 ways of adjustability and overall length must be +-1" from OEM), swap 1 sway bar. Alignment is limited to OEM range of adjustability and OEM-approved adjustment procedures in the factory service manual (no camber bolts unless Subaru officially allows them in the manual). Wheels must be same width as OEM, can be +-1" in diameter, and +-7mm in offset. Any 200tw or greater tire you can squeeze on is legal. Any brake pad. Exhaust from the cat back is open. Pretty much everything else is a no unless it falls under the comfort and convenience rule.
My two questions for running the new twins in Street are whether aftermarket gen 1 front sway bars fit the gen 2 BRZ and whether the gen 1 Konis work with gen 2 and if they fall within the +-1" overall length rule. |

Yes, aftermarket gen 1 front sway bars fit.
Shocks are a "maybe" depending how long the Konis are. See data on the stock gen 2 shocks here: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147964
