Yea, looks like 30 peak gains on 91, 40+ on e85.

Tune was to be assumed lol, I meant header only in terms of hardware

The combination of the single best long tube EL header on the market for the FA20, combined with the most experienced FA20 tuner in the world, can make for some impressive results.

James Martin tuned that car? Interesting.

I didn't know he'd been full time tuning FA20's for 6 years!

My suspicion in cases like these is that the baseline had unreported issues that were robbing power, probably a clogged cat or some minor tuning issue. I've seen multiple stock 2017 baseline dynos at ~180whp so a baseline of 165 implies to me there was probably something wrong. Change to catless and a new tune will iron out these issues obviously so gains are inflated.

I've seen multiple independent dynos now report closer to 20-30whp peak gains with this exact same setup but I don't say that to discount what the Ace header and Delicious tune can do because there is more to it than peak power. This setup offers the strongest area under curve available of any setup on the market and that is really where most of your time is spent accelerating.

This is a little more inline with what to expect if your car is running well to begin with:

Different dynos read differently. That's why it's so important to do ALL the measurements on the same dyno.

If the 2017 really made 180whp on a "standard" dyno, it would pull on a K20 powered civic... and it doesnt.

The 2017 stock cars fix the tuning issue and don't target 10.2 afr at WOT. However, this behavior stays just for a single pull and then they start adding fuel and have a rich afr again. This causes to lose power. It was reported sometime ago. So, it is easy to compare stock and with a header and tune and have a variance between 20hp and 30hp even on same dyno.

Here is the post: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...28&postcount=1
