Sounds great!! Thanks for updating the thread guys!! I'm gonna try it out today with ELM 327 Bluetooth on Jailbreak iPhone 5 and I'll post results. I have to admit that I like the larger display of my nexus 7 and the Torque app better too as its customizable with PIDs like Oil Temp and Fuel remaining (in gallons) but I'm always down to try something new. If iOS comes out with a better option than android I'd be happy to swap the nexus 7 for an iPad mini

Edit: I clicked on the link and it says only for iPad. I have a jaikbroken iPad 2 that I will try to sync up via Bluetooth, not wifi, and see if the same workaround applies here.

Won't work with the Bluetooth ones so will need to get a wifi one like this one. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/G77-WIFI-...258b26a&_uhb=1
I'll give that a try in a minute and see if it can pick up the oil temp PID

Excellent, are you able to manually add the oil temperature PID

It is:
PID 2101
Min -40
Max 215
Scale x1
Unit Type C
Equation AC-40
OBD Header 7E0
Mode $22

I think people have torque working on a jail broken iPhone although cant find the link. It just needed Bluetooth comms unlocked to "see" the ELM327.

This app looks like you don't need a jailbreaked phone as it will work over wifi.

You won't touch 178 HP at the wheels without a lot of mods and a solid dyno tune.. 192 TQ is turbo territory albeit a little low.

Torque app actually puts down pretty accurate numbers for TQ and HP as long as the weight of the car AND driver are accurate. I've compared against actual dyno runs vs virtual dyno runs and I have been really impressed by how accurate they are.

ya i no they dont make sense for a headerback and tune (not dyno tuned yet) torque gave me a more believable 135 tq, but said 84 HP. so i think imma jus give up with those features and stick with temps/ timers

Sorry, I thought you were responding to our comments about the new app for wifi with an ELM327 over iPhone.

DashCommand definitely doesn't allow manual PID input and therefore you can't get oil temp using it for the 86 or BRZ. Thread here requesting it http://www.palmerperformance.com/for...p?topic=6351.0

Ordered [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NLQAHS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2VZTJP6N 0Z6QL"]this[/ame] on Amazon, installed DashCommand 3.4.0 and roqyBT4/roqyOBD4 for my iPad Mini, and mounted it in the car using Exomount Tablet S. Now, I'm just playing the wait game with the BT adapter. Thanks for the info here, OP. Can't wait to get this up and runnning.

Just remember with DashCommand you won't be able to add the PID for oil temp. If you have jailbreaked your phone to use that android OBD2 ELM327 you linked to you at want to look at the Torque App instead if you want oil temp.
