What's odd is that the slip light illuminated when the wheel hop occurred. Theories? Ideas?

Tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 225/45/17 and this occurred in the dry, albeit at a temperature bordering on "cold" when it comes to summer compounds.
Its the 'virtual diff' coming on. Due to how torsen diffs work if one wheel is in the air it will free spin. When the virtual diff detects a wheel in the air it applies the brakes to that wheel and flashes the slip light even with the nannies off. The only way i know of to disable the virtual diff is the pedal dance.

Nannies on, or nannies off? If it's Nannies on then it may be them kicking in which can feel like wheel hop. First time I felt them kick in while cornering I thought I'd run over a patch of gravel (Which is almost the same effect as wheel hop).

If that's the case they are doing what they are supposed to do and you should feel more secure

We're getting wheel hop / wheel spin at the track while running slicks - its always mid corner / corner exit as we are rolling back on the power. This car would probably be .5 sec to 1 sec faster per lap if we could get rid of it.

We only notice it at the track when running r-comps or when in the mountains pushing it pretty good.

Car is all stock minus KW Clubsports and wheels/tires. We're wanting to experience the car as our customers will - weaknesses and all.

Bushings do help a great deal IMHO.
Very possible, i got tons of wheel hop with the stock tires and i tried messing around with tire pressures. I haven't tried/tested the PSS out to see if they do the same. This reminds me of my 300zx days. Those beasts have tons of wheel hop. We tried to alleviate the problem with subframe spacers/bushings which calmed some of the hop on my Z down but not all of it. I bought the whiteline subframe bushing kit to try and address this issue on the FR-S; guess i will be needing more than those to fix the hop.

most of the time in VSC SPORT. I feel like the car looses traction way to easily. and because of this I don't trust it with traction off all the way.

I notice wheel hop quite badly when it is damp or wet outside and the nannies are off. The shifter bounces around like mad which is a little bit concerning, it can be kind of violent. I get this quite regularly if it is wet or if you hit a slight bump under acceleration. I am going to pursue some suspension fixes and see how it turns out.

Wouldn't a stiffer motor mount prevent wheel hop? Plenty of WRX/STi(And Hondas) combated wheel hop by doing this. A stiffer rear differential bushing will probably help too I think

I was at the local drag strip the other night( first time ever) just having some fun and it was either spin in first, full throttle launch or wheel hop from hell with a 1/2 ass launch at about 1/2 throttle both from about 5k. Figured it was just better to spin then have the whole drivetrain shake so viloently.
